| I`m black 30/5 RTC. Can`t determine whose position is better at 16.Kf1 and after 17...Qxd4. It would be great if u clarify these in details. | |||

| White is better because your queenside is completely undeveloped while both queen and bishop will have to retreat. White pieces on the other hand are very nicely developed, aiming at the kingside, knight will come in the centre and the rook too. King isn\'t ideally placed but there\'s no way for black to exploit that at the moment. | - | ||

| How can you ask? You saw the result a few moves later on. Toast. Or as we say in English, Checkmate. Just kidding. | - | ||

| The pawn on d4 was poisonous because the opening of the long black diagonal with gain of time was so advantageous to White. However after 17... Be6 followed by Nd7 Black may be able to take some advantage of the White King being caught in the centre, and should White again put pressure on the long black diagonal, Black can play f6 and hold. Black should aim to get his rook to the e-file ASAP. The Black bishop at h2 may be a tactical worry, but prompt development is nevertheless essential. | - | ||

| I wonder why white didn\'t play 14. f4? But 18. Bb2 iso Be3 is masterful or hopeful? | - | ||
