Chess tips

I am a beginner in the chess game. I started playing chess last 6 months only. How can i improve my game? I have been playing here. Usually i play 30 min game. now i am in 15 min game. which time is best and why? I personally believe, chess is a game of patience. I learned now to face my defeat, a painful substance to swallow. one thing i know i should accept my defeat and not to lose my hope on chess. after playing many chess in a day, i became absent minded, have you experienced??. Somebody talking to you and we dont hear anything. In sleep sometimes i think lot of strategies and become sleepless. How you overcome this?

My son gave me a wonderful instructive book called "How to Beat Your Dad at Chess" by Murray Chandler. It focuses on noticing patterns in the middle game and endgame. It has lots of diagrams and explains things well.

endgame books are best to start add chess puzzle books as many as ur parents will allow then study them at lest 4 times until you can see the tactic or theme in ur sleep after that study MY SYSTEM by aron nimzovich then get his 2nd book CHESS PRAXIS study these for at leased 8 months each book after you have done this start looking at chess openings, also add in GMs from the past (morphy, anderssen, steinitz, chigorin, alekhine, smyslov, reshevsky, tal, fischer, spassky, korchnoi, keres, and yes even karpov or kasparov study them read how they got to be good and study their opening chooses after this continue studying puzzles improving your tactical eye will scare even IMs, GMs and yes even state champions. good luck and play and lose then play and win.

u want to get good at chess? well then play over the board as well as online, when i first started OTB tournaments i got killed but now i learned from the knowledge of the uncountable losses to high class and master players. Players i know that play at OTB clubs becoming very good very fast. Also play the highest level players u could find on this site.

Welcome! It is good that you give yourself the time to learn. I would start with studying the technical endgame, because it teaches you to recognize winable patterns (the same with chess puzzles). Then study the strategic opening, which teaches you to recognize the direction the game is taking, and playing accordingly.

the beginner must test the e5 defense so after that you can improve your strategy

the best way to learn is to play slow games. I have wasted so much time playing quick blitz games. CC chess is an excellent way to learn openings. Good luck. And stick with it.
